Launch of the 29th edition of the Tiniguena Calendar “The Indigenous and Community Heritage Areas of Guinea-Bissau
Since its first edition, published in 1993, the Tiniguena Calendar brings
news every year about the state of the environment, culture, and the challenges of sustainable development at
local and national levels.
This 29th edition of the Tiniguena Calendar talks about the APAC of Guinea-Bissau, 4 unique places where
communities live ancestrally and in symbiosis with their territory, protecting and valuing the common good for present and future generations.
And Tiniguena has embarked
on this endeavor together with local communities to value these cultures and
traditions, as well as to recognize these communities as guardians of sites and resources.
The small big family of Tiniguena invites everyone to embrace this struggle, for an environmentally
resilient Guinea-Bissau, of well-being, where everyone can have their piece of Paradise that
our ancestors left us as an inheritance, to share it with a sense of responsibility, between present generations and with future generations!
